Religious reasons visas

  1. Visa application form (click here)
  2. Recent passport size photo, colored on a white background, required size – 3*4 cm.
  3. Passport or travel document valid for at least three months after visa expiry date. Passport must be received not more than 10 years ago.
  4. Return-trip booking or ticket or proof of available means of personal transport. If travelling by car the following documents are required:
    • original and a copy of the Vehicle Registration Certificate;
    • original and a copy of the International Insurance Policy with civil responsibility (“green card”);
    • original and a copy of driving license;
    • original and a copy of the car rent voucher if the car is rented. If an applicant is going to visit other Schengen countries the applicant should submit a complete itinerary of the trip;
    • if the driver with whom the trip is planned has a valid Schengen visa, to submit documents the applicant should provide a hotel reservation with the driver’s name and surname, a copy of the passport page with a photo and personal data, a copy of the valid Schengen visa.
      If you plan to visit several countries in Schengen Area, you should provide a whole route of your trip.
  5. Documentation regarding the applicant’s effective ‘religious’ qualification.
  6. Documented assurances regarding the religious nature of the event in which the applicant intends to take part or regarding the activity to be carried out in Italy.
  7. Proof of available means of support for the stay in Italy of an amount not less than that established in Table A annexed to Ministry of Interior Directive 1.3.2000 or declaration of assumption of responsibility by the religious organization. For details…
