Subordinate employment visa

This type of visa is only accepted at the Consulate General of Italy in St. Petersburg.

Domestic workers, home-care givers, seasonal labourers, highly skilled labourers, managers, university lecturers and professors, researchers, translators, interpreters, personnel on leave for training, nurses, maritime workers, sports personnel and athletes, entertainment industry personnel
Personnel employed in supplementary maritime services boarding Italian cruise ships and employed by foreign subcontractors
Journalists and correspondents officially accredited in Italy and employed by foreign press organs or TV and radio broadcasters

This visa is to be issued pending issuance of the “nulla osta” (entry clearance), to be requested by the employer.
The “Sportello Unico” (Unified Immigration Desk) will provide for the Nulla Osta (entry clearance) and the “contratto di soggiorno per lavoro” (job contract) to be sent to the Diplomatic Representation.

Personnel employed in supplementary maritime services boarding Italian cruise ships and employed by foreign subcontractors

  5. enrolment of ship in International Register

Journalists and correspondents officially accredited in Italy and employed by foreign press organs or TV and radio broadcasters

  4. Request by the local authorities by means of Note Verbal. The visa will be issued pending the “nulla osta” (entry clearance) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Press and Information Service.
