Proof of employment

Employment reference

Original of the employment reference must be on the company’s letterhead with the company’s address and telephone number, employee’s position, length of employment, salary slips for the last six months, as well as date of employment and date of end of employment, if applicable.

 

The work reference must be dated (it is valid for one month, starting from the date of signing). The reference must be signed by authorized signatory and sealed with the company’s stamp (if the company does not use a stamp, the relevant document is required).

 

In case if the applicant signs their own work reference, it is required to provide a proof of authority to do so: copies of orders of appointment to the General Director and Chief Accountant positions.

 

If the applicant’s actual place of work differs from the legal address of the organization, it is necessary to additionally write down information on the actual place of work of the applicant in the work reference, especially if the applicant works in a branch or a representative office of the organization in another city.

 

- Individual Entrepreneurs must provide a certificate of the register of the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs. The Individual Entrepreneur registered in the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs after 01.01.17, should provide an Extract of the entry made in the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs.

Individual Entrepreneurs must also provide the Income Tax Return for the latest tax year and a 3NDFL certificate (if applicable).

 

If the applicant’s employer is Individual Entrepreneur, it is required, apart from the work reference, to attach a certificate of the register of the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs (if the applicant’s employer registered in the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs after 01.01.17, they should provide an Extract of the entry made in the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs).

 

Self-employed applicants should provide a certificate of registration as self-employed, as well as statements on the status of self-employment tax transactions (incomes) for the current/previous year;

 

Freelancers should submit copies of service contracts and original bank account statements that confirm the payment of services rendered;

 

- Retired applicants should submit the pension certificate (original and copy), or a reference from the Pension Fund (original and copy), or a pensioner card (original and copy);

 

- Students should submit their student ID (original and copy) or a reference from the study place in original stamped and signed by the faculty dean. The reference is valid for one month, starting from the date of signing;

 

- Pupils should submit their pupil ID (original and copy) or a school reference in original. The reference is valid for one month, starting from the date of signing.

 

- Unemployed applicants should submit the following:

 

  • Documents proving the applicant’s ties to Russia (proof of existence of immediate family members – spouse, children, parents – living in the Russian Federation (marriage or birth certificate), proof of property ownership);
  • A copy of the work booklet’s page with personal data and pages which show the holder’s job history at least during last three years (if applicable).
