Dear applicants!
In compliance with art. 9, paragraph 1 of Regulation 810/2009 (Visa Code), applications must be submitted no more than six months before the start of the intended journey and no less than 15 calendar days. The estimated start of the journey is the date of departure from the place where the visa application is being submitted.
The Consulate General of Italy in St. Petersburg informs that visa applications with the date of departure in less than 15 calendar days are not accepted for consideration.

Visa application can be submitted only by appointment, you can make one on the link.
The application for a visa in VMS Italian Visa Center in Saint Petersburg can be submitted by:
- Russian citizens with a permanent registration in the Saint Petersburg Consular demarcation: Saint Petersburg and Leningrad region, Murmansk, Pskov, Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Veliky Novgorod and the relevant regions as well as the Republic of Karelia;
- Russian citizens registered in other regions, if they provide the following documents:
- The reference from work/school/university or the ownership certificate of real estate in the Saint Petersburg Consular demarcation. For details…
- Temporary registration in the Saint Petersburg Consular demarcation, issued at least a month ago and valid for not less than 6 months (original + copy).
Please note that it is necessary to provide a temporary registration issued only through the official bodies of the Federal Migration Service (УФМС) or the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (ГУ МВД). You can also provide a temporary registration with a digital signature, issued on the website GOSUSLUGI.
- Citizens of other countries, if they provide the following documents:
- The reference from work/school/university or the ownership certificate of real estate in the Saint Petersburg Consular demarcation. For details…
- Residence permit valid for at least 3 months after return from the Schengen area (original + copy);
and (in case there is no registration stamp in the residence permit)/or
- Registration in the Saint Petersburg Consular demarcation, issued at least one month ago, valid for at least 3 months after return from the Schengen area with a total duration of at least 6 month (original + copy).
Please note that it is necessary to provide a temporary registration issued only through the official bodies of the Federal Migration Service (УФМС) or the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (ГУМВД).
In both cases (citizens of the Russian Federation and citizens of other countries) all of the abovementioned conditions should be met to submit application in the Saint Petersburg Visa Center.
